  1. Mainly the People who supply the oil companies the oils.  They take in almost 40% of every dollar you pump at your local gas station, while the oil companies take in around 10%.  The actual gas station themselves bring in 5% and the rest go to taxes and partialy 3rd party vendors.

  2. I think they share the wealth. I also think some major investigations should be held. At the beginning of the War in Iraq, both Bush and Cheney stated that the oil revenues would pay for much of the war, especially reconstruction.  However, wherever those oil revenues are, it is the American taxpayer that has footed the bill for the war, including reconstruction.

We do know that attacks on the oil pipelines have caused some trouble in the past.  We also know that contracts have been presented to the Iraqi leadership, and that International Oil Companies have taken over the marketing of that oil.  But, what we don't know is where the money is going and to whom?  Agencies exploring the Iraqi oil situation have met mountains of resistance.  One of the reasons Bush doesn't want to leave Iraq is because he fears Al Queda will take over the oilfields.  He has stated as much in speeches he has given.

This may indicate that the war was fought over control of the oil to begin with, rather than the eminent danger or the humanitarian goals that have been presented to the American public.

  3. They both do and that's why we pay such high prices. Think of it... Exxon's profits per quarter are in the BILLIIONS!

  4. both make lots of our money what ever they make in 1 day it will take 300 yrs of your working life!!

  5. Right now the foriegn principals. Oil companies aren't making the profits that they usually do because believe it or not (and if you don't you can check it out for yourself) gas prices aren't really reflecting what crude oil is going for right now...
