Who makes filipino street food (ie: taho/fish balls/kikiam)?

we all know that in manila there are many fishball/pulutan/ taho vendors on the streets. but i wonder who makes the things they sell?

  2. Your a brave soul. Most of that stuff is made out of lips and asses of animals of unknown origin. I would never, ever, ever, eat anything from a street vendor in the Philippines because you can not guarantee that the food is handled in a sanitary and safe manner or that the food was bought from a reputable source.

    Just look at how many items that should be refrigerated or kept hot are kept at room temperature, where the bacteria can multiply adnauseum.

    Eat it if you want- but you better have a good doctor to patch yourself up when you get sick!

  4. I'm guessing some of the vendors make it themselves..

    I dont know about manila though, i dont spend much time there.. I usually stay with relatives in the province when I go there to visit.
