  1. A best buy employee makes anywhere between $8.5 and $12, but a high end waiter can make a ton more.

It really depends on what kind of place you're a waiter at. If you work at a chain, kinda like olive garden, then you'll make about the same as a best buy employee if you're good.

High end restaurants work a lot differently than chains, though. usually you audition, and if you're accepted, you pay them a fee every night to work there. the fee can be anywhere from $25 to $200. You rely entirely on tips at that point, but on a good night, if you're a good waiter, and get big or "thirsty" (wine) tables, you could walk out in excess of a thousand a night.

  2. that all depends.. how good of a waiter are you? i made over 500 or more a week waiting tables at a bar 3 days a week.. depends on how good of service they get and how many hours a week you work at bestbuy....

  3. on a good day the waiter will make more, the BestBuy employee has better opportunity for advancement
