  2. The government. The oil companies make 4 to 6 percent profit on a gallon of gasoline. Federal government taxes that gallon of gas at 15 percent. State government taxes that same gallon another 20 percent or more.

    Government is always the problem, never the solution.

    The oil companies are making record high profits, while at the same time we have record high gas prices...do you think that's a coincidence?
