Who makes the best aquarium filters?

I have a 10 gallon tank and was wondering who you thought made the best power filter.

Aquaclear 30 or 50, best and easiest to clean filters

Aqua Clear. I have 3 of these filters on my  tanks. They are fantastic. I also have a Top Fin (Petsmart brand) filter that came with a 29 gallon starter kit and it does o.k. Some of my smaller tanks (10 and 20 gallon) have Tetra brand and Whisper filters that are just so-so. I would spend the money on a great  filter like Aqua Clear. It reallly does a great job.

it can't be beat.

adjustable flow

quiet once it slimes up

acts as an airater aswell...no need for airstones

fill with media that doesn't need replacing every month like a sponge and bio-max and it won't cost you a thing for 2 years.

add a sack of good quality carbon for 4-5 days if needed the odd time aswell.

I run

1 sponge

100 micron fabric

A 50 kit of bio-max

A 30 kit of bio-max or sack of black diamond carbon and leave 30 kit in the tank somewhere.

Although Aquaclear is a good brand, there are others to choose from. Everybody has their own taste in which brand is best, but honestly, you got to ask yourself, what do you really need? Is it worth paying more money for just a name brand? There are other filters such as penguin bio wheel filter that does just as good.

Every brand has their own so called top of the line products. Because if you go by what everybody says, and you buy the product and you're not happy with the product, how can you be able to return it if it works good and you are just not satisfied with it?

You need to do researches on different types of filter to come up with one that fits your needs. There are filter products out there with high ratings, but ratings is from people who has used it and has their likes or dislikes about these products.

There's even filters that has skimmers built in to it. So you should do your research and you should go for something that you'll be happy with and that you can afford to pay the price for that particular filter. Just because everybody says that Aquaclear is the best, that doesn't mean that it's the BEST!

Anyways, there are aquatech, aquaclear, Penguin Bio wheel, Jebo, and many more. Please do your research before buying, otherwise, you may make a mistake that will cost you.
