  1. Cannon!   Go for an Ixus (or Ixy).

  2. Canon

  3. Canon - I have had an Canon Ixis for 4 yrs and LOVE it, compact and powerful.....My friends all went out and got one too after using mine!!

  4. well the best? idk, but i have a Fujifilm FinePix Z20 fd  (thats the code for it) and it works REALLY well!!! also its pretty cheap. At FredMeyer, Circuit City and Best Buy its about 180 dollars, but at WalMart, for the EXACT same thing its about 10 bucks cheaper. It takes clear pictures and you can get the camara in lots of colors like, pink, blue, green, silver, red and black. All the colors except black and silver are very pretty and bright. Hope this helps you.

Also if you get this camara you'll need an XD memory card (1 gb or 2) not an SD memory card~those don't work for it.

  5. i have a canon and would never get rid of it!

  6. Sony, Canon, and Nikon make the best cameras and some arent even that pricey.

  7. for good budget digital cameras i think nikon coolpix ones are good

but canon is better for big serious ones :)

  8. I have and like the Fuji and the Gadget show has picked Fuji in the past...

  9. The best Digital Camera to date is the DSLR Nikon D3 5000 dollar body only. The best for you may be a point and shoot???

    More info needed.

  10. This is like asking 'how long is a piece of string' ?

I shoot with a Pentax, K110D and K200D, so I am bound to say Pentax, because the cameras do what I want them to do, that is take great pics, and they are not as expensive as Nikon or Canon, or Haselblad.

  11. Olympus.

  12. All the major manufacturers have excellent quality.  If 'best' is defined by features, this week it will be one manufacturer and next month a different one.  You can't really go wrong.

HOWEVER... as an ex-pro photog, I find ergonomics and user interface to be more of the deciding factor since these camera manufacturers are very competitive.  Certain brands are more intuitive to me and I can pick up almost any of their models and start using them in advanced modes immediately - while other brands I have to spend a lot of time finding what I'm looking for.
