  1. All of them....

    Callaway

    TaylorMade

    Cleveland

    Mizuno

Their clubs are pricey, thus you shouldn't  worry about the quality.

  2. Driver I like Taylormade with the moveable weights R7, same with fairway woods

    Irons I like Calloway

for your price range look at the golf shops for used sets

  3. I vote for Taylor Made.  I don't like Ping's look, had Callaway, Nike, Mizuno before (irons and woods) and compared with Taylor Made in terms of looks, performance, durability and quality, TM is on top.  In fact I like them so much I bought two sets of the same clubs (R7 TP)..

  4. Best????? depends on who answers you......everybody has their preference......400.00 actually will buy you a decent set of used Irons.....not much more.

  5. Who makes the best clubs is an age old question that has been argued around the 19th hole for decades.   You've named two of the top club manufacturers in your question.   Add to that Ping, Nike, Adams, Cleveland etc etc ad nauseum.  Callaway and TM are both toward the top end in club quality.  Their prices reflect this.  You are not going to get a new set of Callaways or TMs for $400.    Even buying your clubs on e-bay (I wouldn't recommend it) you're looking at upwards of $600 just for the irons.  Add the driver, fairway woods, hybrids if you want them and putter to the mix is going to put you well over $1000.
