  1. May as well ask how long is a piece of string.

If you mean American Pool where the balls are heavier and the tables bigger than English pool then theres hundreds of cue builders that'll make custom cues. Cost has more to do with how fancy they are than playability though.

If you mean English pool then look to a snooker cue again there are many builders out there making mass produced or one offs.

The best though with either type is the one your most comfortable with regardless of cost and that  comes with the time you spend using it. Remember Stephen Hendry won 5 world snooker titles with a cue that cost less than £40, and was repotedly a bit warped.

  2. Lots of different opinions will emerge, however I can say with certainty that the best pool cues are not going to be mass produced but will be made by a custom cue builder. Most production cues are simply not in the same category as a great custom cue.

Finding the cue that is best for you, whether it is a production cue or a custom, can be a long process.  Check out friends cues or retail stores. Keep trying different cues until you find one that feels right.

    Good luck in your search.

  3. I have a custom made Sneaky Pete. It was made by the former owner of Parot Cues. Its a great stick. I have had it for 8+ yrs and dont plan on getting rid of it soon.

  4. I've had my McDermott for 14 years and I love it and it's still almost as straight as it was when I bought it. Barely any noticeable warping.

  5. I think Viking or Meucci. My Muecci is great, I've had it for years!
