Breyers and Eddys both have a great base flavor that is creamy and light.  Baskin-Robins used to be awesome.

Ben & Jerry is just a highly over priced, poor quality base product that is masked by the flavorings and adding of goop.

I'll get slammed on this opinion for sure, I can live with it.

Soft Serve

I would say carvel for a nation wide chain. The best soft serve is a place called Marvel near me but its only has one location and its in new york. NO dairy queen here so I do not know about it that much although the one or two times i liked it I loved it

Hard Ice Cream

Depends on what your looking for if your looking for wacky flavors ben and jerrys wins hands down. Now if your looking for pure ice cream i would say hagan daz

For a cheap supermarket ice cream I love Mayfield. I like the Birthday Cake flavor.
