  1. Gilmore was my favorite player when I was young . . .  HOF for sure! ! ! !  Bure . . .  not so sure, he was fast . . . I'll give him that . . .  but was he a HOF player . . . could go either way!

  2. Larionov is almost a lock.

Then I personally like Bure and Ciccarelli. I am not sold on any of the other favorites, though if I had to pick a fourth I'd probably go with Doug Gilmour.

  3. housley, larionov, oates, gilmour

  4. Bure

  5. Out of those two?

Gilmore definitely, I don't see both making it this time around.

  6. There are so many players who have better points/game averages than Doug Gilmour................I just don't see Dougie ever making it.

  7. Vernon, Oates, Housley, and Gilmore

Lots of good players of all the same class.

Gilmore had over 1600 NHL regular and post season points. He darn near averaged a point a game over the course of his 21 year career.

Yeah, Bure got near 780 points in near 700 regular games but this was also in the prime of his career. How many others put those numbers up at the same time ??? Eric Lindros actually put up 865 points in 760 games. Forsberg had near identical numbers as well in terms of points and games played.

I just don't think he put up hall of fame numbers. His career just didn't last long enough.

  8. Larionov and Oates are shoo-ins for this year.

I'm not sure who else goes in.  I'd like to see Lorne Chabot and his 72 shutouts make it though
