By the way Merchants I find it highly unlikely the Cubs and Brewers facing in the NLDS.  One can assume that the Cubs will finish with the best record in the NL which means they will be number 1 seed of sorts, and yes the number 1 seed goes against wild card team.  

If the wild card team is in the same division as the best team in that league(definesd as AL and NL) then wild card team goes against the team that has the second best record in the league

The last time I checked Brewers and Cubs were in the same disvision
