  1. Marriage License: $100

    Dress (from Ross): $40

Ceremony (At Clerk of Courts) $30

    Shoes:$20

    His Tie: $15

    Hair/Make-up: Free (self)

    Bouquet: Free (gift from FSiL)

    Photographer: Free (Good Friend)

Gas (to get to COC office, and park/pics): $30

    Dinner w/ New family: $130

Finally marrying the best guy in the world:

    Priceless!

  2. Our wedding is costing us about $120 for the license (can't remember the cost off the top of my head). We're also going to pay about $500 to my church and pastor and $100 to my fiance's pastor who is coming out to help with the wedding (she'll be giving the homily).

I suppose if you wanted decorations you should put money aside for that (I'm in a church so that would be pointless).

The wedding costs almost nothing, it's the reception and the photographer and the clothing that's expensive.

  3. My fiance and I own our house and we have a nicely landscaped tropical backyard with a pool.  So the wedding is at our house.  I shopped around online and at dollar stores and such for decorations.  A family member is a chef and he is providing "heavy hors d'oeuvres".  I'm using disposable cameras for the adults and asking everyone to participate in a photo shoot.  I will also be providing beer & wine.  I made the invitations myself and got crafty with most of the decorations.  My wedding cost about $1,400 (dress and all) for 40 people.

  4. We were married in our hometown church by three priests - one is my husband's brother, the other two priests are friends. Cost was free!

The dinner and reception was 25k for hosting 200 guests.

  5. Marrying the person you really know and love, shouldn't have to worry for the costs. The only cost should be for the marriage license and then a small gathering of both the parents families and maybe your good best friends.  Invite them at home or a small restaurant. There is no need to elaborate and show off's.  Save the money for you both for real necessary things in life later. Good luck

  6. I did a lot myself and shopped around and spent about $2000. for a small wedding (about 50)

We paid a preacher we know $100, rented a hall that looks like an old church for the wedding and reception for $75 paid the dj $100, got the cake at the local grocer paid $100. It all depends on what you want and what you can afford. Good Luck.
