  1. If in really good condition then your local library if not charity shops

  2. local library, local prisons or mental health facilities, freecycle.com, goodwill, salvation army.....

  3. Any of the charity shops1

  4. I have given my old books to Charity Shops, a Local Library and a Nursing Home.

  5. Demelza House Children's Hospice

    Rook Lane, Bobbing

    Sittingbourne

    Kent, ME9 8DZ

    ENGLAND

    Attn: Tricia Gambell

  6. I recently gave away several boxes of my old books to three charity shops in my local town. They were all a bit limited in space otherwise one might have taken all of them, but in the end different causes were able to benefit by spreading the donation. I have more boxes that I need to sort through and I will go back with more book donations soon.

  7. I give mine to charity shops.

  8. Charity shops or your local library.

  9. any local library

  10. A 'used' bookstore or thrift store

  11. The world! In particular, the World Biggest Free Book Club. (I'm talking about bookcrossing, check the reference for details).

Or, as others have said, lots of charities. If you have a moral sense, study them a little, and try to decide cautiously who deserves them more, or who is going to use them best.

  12. Oxfam will.

  13. I UK, any prison library would gladly accept your books

  14. your local daycare centre

  15. any charity shop

  16. Your local library, they will either add them to their stock or sell them on

  17. I will, if you drop them off in person ;)

  18. Depends upon what type of books.  If they are old college books, your college library would like them or give them to the relevant tutor to help students who cannot afford to get a recent text book.

Hospitals like to have books for their patients' libraries, although nothing that's going to get anyone over-excited, if you see what I mean ;)
