I have just done a house clearance and found 30 good quality blankets - does anyone know what would be the best thing to do with them? I wanted to give them to a homeless shelter however i am worried they will only get used once then dumped, any ideas?

  2. I cant see that happening I would think the homeless would treasure blankets in winter.

But yes red cross sure would know where to hand them out there are far to many children who lack warmth in this day and age and that sure is sad

  3. Red Cross maybe?

  4. while appreciating your kindness, i suggest..

    1.  Give to the poor students in hostel

    2.  Blind students who are poor.

    3.   Sick patients in hospital who are unable to bear expenditure.

    4.  No hesitation in giving who are badly in need and suffering in

         streets.

    5.  Any other who deserves to receive.

one movement..  once you gave them as u feel it is necessary for them, no think back and give pl.  no need to worry about their

    usage.

Thanx..   (this thanks is for your broad outlook.. since, i answered

a question  ''what do you do to help others''.. and

immediately i am attending a question from a helping

                    nature.. is it called coincide?)

  5. I would contact your local human resources department. They may know families that are in need of them. I know ours collects blankets, jackets, hats and gloves for families.

  6. There were just tornadoes sweep across Arkansas and Tennessee.  You could send them to people who have lost their homes in disasters such as this.  Watch your local news and find out where to send donations to.  Or you might hear of an apartment fire where several people lost their homes.  They will need warmth.
