I am in a golf pool where you can pick a different golfer everyweek, but you can ONLY TAKE THEM ONCE throughout the season...

People like Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, Paidraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Reteif Goosen, Stewart Cink, Aaron Baddeley, Adam Scott, Anthony Kim, Stephen Ames, i have already taken so i can not take them again......Who do you like to win out of the people below??

  1. Jimenez, Scott & Rose, hopefully in that order!

  2. garcia OR CASEY

  3. I think Geoff Ogilvy would be your best bet. He has proven that he can win under the pressure of majors. He seems to be a pretty solid golfer. He seems to stay in a position to win by staying near the top of the leader board going into the weekend. If you don't like that pick live on the wild side and pick Sergio or Boo

  4. well as said before i quite enjoy the good question..

anyways out of the selected i would say sergio or trevor they are very good contenders especially sergio coming off the heartbreak

i think tiger has a slight chance but then again hes suprised us before!!:)

also adam scott looks good hes hunting for a major this year i can tell..

    just my opinion..

    best answer here!! :)

  5. I agree that this is a really good question.

I am an old fan of Ernie Els and although he has gone off the boil a bit in the past few years with knee problems and the latest problems with his son Ben I still think he has the game and the imagination to win the British open.

Ernie has always been a very humble player and I think history will show him as one of the all time Mr Nice Guy Greats.

For my money and for old times sake.  Go Ernie!!

  6. Lee Westwood now he's back to something like his best, M.J.Jimenez he's got plenty of bottle. My fancy is the guy i've backed for the Scottish open- Adam Scott!

  7. I'm going to go out on a limb and go for a darkhorse... KJ Choi.  I keep getting the feeling that he's going to do something great, and I believe he might do it this year.  He's been so close before, plus he has the mental fortitude to handle the maddening conditions usually found on European courses (something too many American golfers lack.)

He was a little too humble at the Masters a few years back, getting embarassed about being in the lead.  Well, he's been there, knows how it feels, and should be composed enough to close it out if he gets the chance.  And to use an old baseball term- he's due!

  8. andreas romero he had it last year but had a couple dosies he will want to make up for it this year. personally i would like to see phil win it . good question.

  9. First, thanks for asking a good and original question, it's very refreshing.

From the list that you posted I would choose Miguel Angel Jimenez because he plays mostly in Europe and is most accustomed to the type of course that the Open Championship will be played at this year.

I know that lots of people would choose Sergio, but he doesn't play well on links courses and he's never won a major, so I don't see him doing it at the Open.

  10. Lee Westwood
