The Sharks are Banana Boys : I saw the real Natal team hold the great All Black team of 1959 (Wilson Winneray capt, Don Clark, Ron Meads, Kevin Skinner et al) to a 6-6 draw at King's Park Durban. After the game (the best I've ever seen) each All Black

player put a Banana Boy on his shoulders and carried them off the field.  Keith Oxley (Springbok capt and my house capt at Maritzburg College) was fly half, Peter Taylor at 8th man and Ormy Taylor on the wing were the only other Boks.  Lappies Labuschagne scrummed and jumped like a Ladysmith white mbaso.
