I got a "free" credit report and they just took $15 out of my bank account. I don't know if they will do this monthly or not.

  1. It's called the "Triple Advantage Protection" credit monitoring service. You have to call this number and ask them to cancel the service: 1-888-829-6560. I just did yesterday and had to haggle with the guy for ten minutes before he finally canceled my account before I incurred that $15 fee. He even tried to get me to keep it for only $4.95 a month! Freecreditreport.com is a ripoff! Next time read the very, very fine print where it tells you to call and cancel the service within 7 days or they will begin to charge you every month.

  2. Yes, until you cancel their service.  The scam here is that to get your "free" credit reports, you signed up for their credit monitoring service.  See the website for cancellation procedures.

  3. call them up to cancel. if not just report ur cc as lost or stolen. if u prefer BOA has a great credit monitoring service for 12.95 a month and also a cheaper option of 6$ however its only for one agency. i do know that sum credit card will give u a year and summary and a free credit report once a year. i forgot wut kind of cc tho.

  4. This is a scam -- call and get cancelled.   If not-- cancel your bank account and move to another bank...

  5. I would get a new bank account. I would tell the bank that you had some checks stolen. Then they won't give you a hard time about the real reason.
