when i am alone .........i take it out on different things.

It takes a lot to make me angry, however, i usually don't take it out on people, I express my feelings quite emphatically, then usually get stuck into some housework.

I just bottle my anger up of course there are times when I 'Limit Break' (yes, that is a final fantasy reference) but I have managed to control it more as I have grown up, there were problems in my puberty regarding anger due to the rush of hormones. For a proper answer to your question, I don't think I could take my anger out on an inanimate object because ,in all honesty, I am quite sadistic so it tends to be the person nearest to me, unless I'm in a 'formal' situation (doctors/school/business etc...) in which I just try my hardest to not let it show.
