Who or what is burying chicken eggs in my garden pots?

Over the years on several occasions I have found chicken eggs buried in pots and underground about an inch deep, the soil is not disturbed there are no chickens ,snakes turtles etc it is quite a built up area any Ideas?

Are you sure they're chicken eggs? Do any of your neighbors have exotic birds like peacocks? Are there any wild turkey in your area - a wooded area close enough for them to wander around at night?

Is there a pond close to your home?

This is really baffling. Is there a sleepwalker in your household, or nearby?  

I wish you could find out. I know it's driving you nuts just wondering what's going on. Hope you can solve the mystery.

sounds like raccoons, stealing eggs and hidding them , to bad you can't  record it on film and put it on u tube .

very strange.  are they hard-boiled?  seriously, if there are no hens around, the likely explanation is someone is messing with your head
