  1. Go to cruisecritic.com or cruiseaddicts.com to get lots of information from veteran cruisers who love to share. I've been on the Imagination, Inspiration, and the Valor.

  2. It's called the FUN SHIP so have fun.  Just got back in Dec. had a great time there is so much to do on the ship and so much fod to eat.  Book some excursions on the shore that is fun.  Go to the shows on the ship at night they are great.

  3. Boy are you going to have a good time!!!

We've been on 3 Carnival cruises. 2 of which were western Caribbean. The most recent one Mexican Riviera. We've been on the Elation, Conquest, and the Spirit.

    Tips and pointers:

Hold off on buying that tee shirt on board, they discount things near the end of the cruise.

Pick up feet going through the bathroom door or you might stub your toe.

Be forwarned - - - The toilets make a sound like a jet!!!

Room service is included, but you don't want to waste time by hanging out in your cabin.

Check your Sail & Sign acct periodically at the purser's desk to make sure you're not over spending.

Bring along an empty paper towel tube so you can roll up the autographed placemat the dining room staff gives you on the last night.

If you like the song they play at evening dinner the first night and don't know the artist and title. Good news: I'm going to tell you right now!! Les Ketchup - The Ketchup Song

Search Yahoo Answers for "cruising do's and don'ts"

If you want to contact other people going on the same cruise as you, go to cruisecritic.com. joining is free. Go to "boards" and find your ship and date.

    Bon Voyage!!!

(We're going on the Caribbean Princess Feb 24!!!)

  4. I've been on a couple Carnival Western Caribbean cruises.  I love Carnival.  I favor it over the only other 2 I have been on-- RC & Disney.  They really are the fun ships and it is NOT some lowlife cruise line!  Oh yeah, book your excursions through the cruise line though, otherwise you might get left behind.  Also don't be afraid to try different types of foods.  It's not like it'll cost you anything more if you don't like it!  Have fun!

  5. Western Caribbean is AWESOME!  I just got back from the Carnival Glory in December.  The biggest tip I would give you is to make sure you do some shore excursions.  We did the Horseback ride at Bacab Eco Park in Belize and had planned to do the Kayak and Snorkel in the Bahamas- but it was canceled due to weather. .  The shore excursions were the best thing that we did.  I will always remember them and they were great.  So take advantage of them.  If the only thing you do is go to the tourist area right next to the port you will not get the true feel of the island.

Have a wonderful time!  I'm sure you will have a great trip.

I love cruises and I am planning my 4th right now.

  6. My husband and I went on carnival Inspiration for our honeymoon and we had a blast. We stopped in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.  There is always on board activities planned when at sea, so you are never left with nothing to do.  they will leave the next days itinerary in you room every day.  Be sure and book at least one shore excursion when you get on board. they are soo fun.  We are going again this year for our 3rd wedding anniversary.

  7. at least a four day cruise

check out land excursion for acitvities once on land

i have been on 2 canrinval cruises and the 3 day was really short

  8. pack light, bring a good camera, talk to everyone on board you'll make friends fast, let loose and have a blast...

  9. I've been on at least 7 Carnival cruises - you will have a blast.  Keep in mind that everything will probably not be perfect, and don't get upset about the small stuff. : ) Bring some seasickness pills like dramamine just in case.  You can always buy it onboard, but it's much more expensive.  Be adventurous - try new foods, explore the islands, etc.  Another good thing - they give you a brochure each night telling you what will be going on the next day (it's called the Carnival Capers), keep it on hand to know what's going on at any particular time.  Excursions offered by the cruise lines are usually good, if not a bit overpriced.  Someone else mentioned this as well, but if the excursion runs late and you booked it through the cruise line, they will hold the ship for you.  Not true if you booked the excursion independently.  I personally like room service in the mornings, but I'm not a huge breakfast person.  If you are, you might prefer either the breakfast buffet or sit-down breakfast in the dining room.  Can't think of anything else right now...but I hope you have a wonderful trip! : )
