  1. I don't really think anyone does specifically. There are lots of people such as the Prime Minister and Parliment who make decisions, but noone owns it.

  2. the queen's face is on all the money but it is a constitutional monarchy meaning

the queen has little to no power

  3. England is not owned by anyone. It's just a small part of the UK. And i don't recall the queen ever owning a part of the country. She is a figurehead in the UK and that's it. She has no power. She does own a few estates but doesn't own the whole of England.

  4. 'owning' is a strong term but as the Queen has the power to disolve government I guess she has it all. she definately"knows it all"

  5. she owns much of the property and all the swans  I dont think anyone can own a country

  6. Tehcnically, the whole of the country is still the property of the State, whose embodiment the Sovereign is.

This is why all property of land and real estate is in fee simple, which allows the State to receive Suzerain's recognition and service from lanholders, in modern days in the form of land taxes.

  7. The Crown owns large parts of England, followed by her Church of England which owns large parts of it including many bars and strip joints, and then...ahhh...the Mormon Church owns a lot of the farmland!!

  8. You wouldn't be asking that question if you were following the latest society gossip! Rory Emerald, Baron Sligo, has foreclosed on the mortgages on Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace! HM is temporarily bunking with Fergie at the Weigh Watchers Headquarters on Long Island and Phillip is sharing a mess with the sailors aboard HMS Pinafore. Camilla has reportedly collapsed and is seeking a reconciliation with her former husband. According to the chattering classes, HM is not amused!
