Who owns ford car company?

i know the ford family does, but who is really in charge? please give articles and websites if found. thx, God bless you all!

The Ford Motor Company is publicly-owned, like most large corporations these days.  This means that the stockholders (or "shareholders") each share in the ownership (or have a financial "stake") of the company.  The people in charge are the Board of Directors, who are in turn influenced by the desires of the stockholders. All publicly-owned corporations in the United States are typically run by boards of directors.  Alan Mulally is a member of the Board, and is also the President and CEO, and he is the individual holding the highest rank at the company.
