  1. I have trouble with this sometimes

I have a freeview pvr and also my tv has a freeview box built in.

Sometimes when the channels are not working on one they will work on the other so I don't think the ariel issue is really a valid one (also I only use an indoor ariel (though not all the time)).

Daft as it may sound it maybe an idea just to move the peice of equipment slightly (like you did an old fashioned coat hanger ariel) and this will then re-align the signal and hopefully make the stations work.

Also you could phone the provider of your box up and find out signal coding is best for your area (my dad phoned humax as he was having a problem with his box (he has the outside ariel) and they explained how to change the signal settings so that he had the stongest setting in his area.

    Might be worth a shot.

  2. Don't make a fool of yourself by complaining to anyone.

Buy a better aerial or Freeview box.

It's a radio signal which gets transmitted perfectly. That doesn't mean it will arrive at your aerial perfectly.

  3. Freeview is annoying, tell me about it! Sometimes the channels work, and other times - no joy!!

Unfortunately if you do complain it will be falling on deaf ears. Freeview is only as good as (a) the reception in your area, and (b) the ariel you have.

They take no responsibility for it and will tell you the exact thing.

The only thing you can do is buy one of those power ariels for your roof (although i have heard that they aren't too great) or get a refund on the box (if you have recently bought it) and invest in either cable or sky!

Sorry can't be more help. Good Luck.
