  2. i believed Carolina Hurricanes since Hartford whalers did eventually becomes them. (I think is the case with Nordique when they were renamed Avs but from time to time you will see Joe Sakic action figure with him wearing that vintage sky blue jersey)

  3. Nobody. It's a trademark with an image. And that is owned by the city of Hartford- and they refuse to realese it to be used for throwback jerseys and such, which is why NHL vintage does not have whalers stuff.

    The hurricanes deal was unique in that the team was purchased, but there was a provision that if the team moved, all the whalers copyrights and trademarks would remain with Hartford, not that it matters now, they won't get another team. But that's why the hurricanes don't use brass bonanza too- owned by hartford.

  4. Peter Karmonos...Canes owner. I dont believe Hartford asked for  the rights when they left town and I know Karmonos uses the Whaler logo in juniors.
