Who owns the oil in the middle east?

does anyone know the names of the people who own the oil.. liek the royal families or whatever... i was interested in looking them up but i cant find out who they are.

There are several countries in the Middle East.  Depending on the nation, the oil is typically owned by the country which then dispenses the profits to its citizens.

Generally the governments where it is produced.  Many of the fields developed by US interests have been nationalized and the government over that area gets the income.  American Oil Companies may contract to produce the oil but they don't own it in the ground.

You know, there are misconceptions about the Middle East. OK not every Arab country is rich and has oil flooding on the streets! The Arab countries that sell oil are Saudi Arabia which actually produces less than Canada does. Also Kuwait and Iraq. You may include Qatar and Bahrain but they don't have a lot. So you got Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya, Morocco, Moretania, Djabuti, Yemen, Algeria "which has oil but a lot" and many other Arab countries that are poor and drought.

The OPEC organization comprise of collective countries and few of them are Arabs. You got Canada, Argentina, Venenzuella, Neigeria, Brazil, and other Asian countries that produce oil. So there is not answer to who owns oil in the Middle East!

We have our own oil, Iraq has it's own.

America is now USING Iraq's oil.

Nothing to do with Iran.

Oil companies have lied year in, year out about reserves & new sites of interest.

what Oil remains below, is watered down with thousands & thousands gallons of sea water, pumped in to the vacant space & requires more refining, more funds & less good quality crude oil.

Saudi Arabia owns one quarter of the oil.  Oil sands which is extra heavy oil  Canada and Venezuela. Canada & Venezuela has become the largest supplier of heavy oil to the United States. Saudi Arabia and the middle eastern countries also own heavy oil. In the United States the Utah Sands produces the road paving material along side the Congo, Madasgar, Tsimiro and Bensologna.

Prior to the second invasion of Iraq, the Iraqi constitution clearly stipulated that the oil belonged to the people of Iraq. Now, a new constituion is in place and multinational corporations are pumping oil that had belonged to the people of Iraqi to US refineries in California.

I think that this is this is theft on a grand scale. After the US has invaded and now occupy the country leaving most of the population without police protection and without basic sanitation, Americans expect the people to be thankful to the US and compensate the US for it's costs. Huh?

Funny enough they all may own the oil.They are all properly pumping oil from the same oil reserve underground.If one country like Saudi Arabia pumps 300,000 drums per day of oil out of the ground quicker than Iran or Iraq who properly pump 50,000 drums per day.They will get a bigger share of the oil and charge what they like for it.The Saudis are secretly stock piling oil.I wounder if anyone knew that.
