Who owns the phone cables?

I just want to know who owns the phone lines in Connecticut. Is it one company, many companies or the government? Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

  1. the RBOC regional bell company owns all of the outside telephone wiring, cabling terminals, and any telephone poles. If a pole has electrical wiring on it, that pole is owned by the electrical company.

    I believe CT is Verizon territory, although i am not 100% sure...

    look in your phone book for your phone comp-any.it's owned as a service provider.your cable may be  listed in the phone book.under Cable

    service.

  3. the phone company....utility company!

    they even own the telephone-pole.....I should knew when I ran my car in one, the phone company sued me!!
