  1. I was going to say Sir Richard Branson, good answer from the guy above.

  2. Development costs for Spaceship One were estimated to be $25-million, funded completely by Paul Allen (born January 21, 1953) is an American entrepreneur who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. Allen regularly appears on lists of the richest people in the world. As of September 2007, Forbes ranks him as the eleventh richest American, worth an estimated $16.8 billion.

    .

Richard Branson owner of Virgin Atlantic Airways is funding the construction of Spaceship Two and a larger carrier aircraft.  They are calling the company Virgin Galactic and they have already signed up a couple a hundred people to take those flights.  The $200,000.00 price of the ticket also includes a few days of room and board and training.  They want to make sure the passengers know what to expect and a physically fit enough for the flight.  The carrier aircraft has a dual fusilage.  The spacecraft hangs between them. The cockpit of the carrier craft is located in one fusilage section and the other is for passengers or family members who might want to come along to witness the launch.
