Question:

Who pays a monthly sewer bill, separate from your water bill?

About how much do you pay each time? How big is your home? Is it an apartment, mobile home, house, duplex, and how many bedrooms? What state are you in?

I'm asking because we recently moved, and have to pay a monthly sewer bill now, and it was $32. I live in a small 2 bedroom duplex with a family of 4, and this just seems too expensive for a sewer bill, imo. I can't believe we're having to pay an average $35 water bill, then another $30 sewer bill. It's ridiculous! The last place I lived, same size dwelling, my water/sewer combined was $20 or less a month!

Also, about how much are you paying for electric, if you don't mind? Mine's about $180-$200 a month, and it's crazy!

Thanks for answering!

  1. I dont pay sewer, my apartment pays for that. For electric, I pay between $120 to $150 a month, I live in Placer County in CA which is a pretty expensive county.

If it seems overpriced, take a close look at your bill and ask why it is so much, if you have PG&E a lot of times they will come out for free and put these rubber things around your doors and windows to make it more energy proofed (saves you money)

I live in an apartment, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. It is about 900 sq ft.
