  1. He should definitely at least offer...or do a slow reach for the wallet once the check is dropped to see how the mother reacts.

  2. I don't know - usually the one inviting someone should be expected to pya, but it sounds like since you guys are friends you're usually getting your own meals :-)  "her's" is considered "his" in this case.

  3. Did HE invite them?  If so, he should pay.

If she said "Mom and I are going to dinner.  Wanna come along?" She and Mom should pay.

And if Mom has plenty of money, she should offer to pay regardless.

  4. My bet would be that the mom is planning on buying for everyone. He should however at least offer to pay for his own meal. I think it would be weird if he offered to pay for his girlfriends mom. He needs to be prepared to pay for his own meal though even though the mom will likely refuse to let him.

  5. Of course he should pay. You want to impress your girl's parents and show them you are a responsible person who is taking care of their daughter.

  6. He should pay.

  7. I would tell him that he certainly needs to offer to pay - but the mom will probably refuse the offer.  He should be prepared to pay for it though.

  8. He should offter to pay, only a gentleman would offer. But I think that they should all divide it thrice.

  9. I would personally say your friend should offer to pay regardless, if not just to impress the mother.

  10. Well, I am a mother and if I were going out with my daughter and her boyfriend, I would definitely pay.  Although, I would expect him to make the offer to pay, but I would turn it down with a smile and a wink to my daughter.

  11. He needs to offer to pay for the entire meal. His girlfriend and her mom are free to reject the offer and pay for their shares.

  12. if the mom was paying the GF should of mentioned it by now SO he should assume he might have to pay the bill, maybe he can hint to GF that he only has a certain amount of money on him and tell her to keep her meal cheap (that would give her the oppt to tell him her mom is paying) but def offer to pay a portion if she is paying

  13. The one who invites someone, is the one who should pay. Especially if that person,  is a guy.  Manners people manners!   :)

  14. It depends on what she orders....lol! A steak....yes. A lobster......heck no!

  15. He should pay for them all...then he makes a good impression on her mom.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  16. the person who does the inviting should pay. if not go dutch.

  17. He should offer to pay.

  18. he shuld pay have price

  19. I think he should pay the bill, but the girlfriend's mother will probably OFFER to pay.

  20. He should at least offer to pay if at all possible. Or, he could speak to his girlfriend about it beforehand.
