i am currently doing a cert ed 2 year teaching course.

i have not been given a grant, but have been given a loan for my tuition fees.

now i have always been under the impression that teachers do not have too pay for their training. am i wrong.

i currently am employed by a college where i work full time, on a part time contract. should they be footing the bill or not?

i am getting very confused about the whole thing.

  1. No grant, then you are paying.  If you have ONLY a tuition fees loan, that is expected to be paid back by YOU.  Grants is free money, but you must apply for the Grants.  Scholarships are also free money, but you must be qualified and apply.  Loans are just that, loans, and must be paid back.  Right now, not saying you are being ripped off, but you are liable for payment.
