Who purchases more playboy magazines, young men ( 16-36) or older men ( 36+) ?

I am doing a survey for one of my classes. I want to know the demographic that read this magazine. Thx

UNC did a story that cites a 2003 report that the average age of the Playboy reader is 32.5 years old. Maxim was beating them on reaching readers of average age of 27.5, which is said to be right in the middle of the desired demographic, and Playboy was going through a makeover to lower the average age of their readers to match that. So, they are both read more by younger men, and they are both trying to be read by more younger men.

Let's face it: Older guys have seen what is in those pages, many many times, and while it will always be interesting, my guess is that they feel required to occasionally act like it's way more interesting than it probably is to them anymore. Younger guys are still worried that someone might think they haven't seen it, so they tend to make a bigger deal out of consuming the lifestyle and reading the magazine. I'd say for most older guys golf gets to be a bigger turn on than Playboy magazine!
