  1. I testify that there is no God but Allah, and I testify that Mohammed is his Messenger, and I testify that the Commander of the Faithful, the Pure Leader, Ali, is the friend of Allah, the successor of the Messenger of Allah, and nothing can come between them

  2. It's in the Qur'aan in Surah Muhammad and it's also found tawaatur in Hadeeth.

  3. 𐃄𐃮𐂶𐃇𐃠𐁩𐃟𐁥𐃟𐃆 𐃠𐃅𐃠𐁢𐃡𐁆𐃟𐂢 𐀽𐃢𐁢𐃧𐂻𐃟𐁖𐃠𐂺 𐃧𐃁𐃭𐀿𐃟𐃆

“…and Muhammad is His servant and messenger…”

Meaning: And also testify to that as well. It is joined with the testimony before it (“Whoever testifies that nothing has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone, having no partner…”).

The meaning of the word 𐁢𐃡𐁆𐃟𐂢 “servant” here is a slave or servant that is owned. In other words, he belongs to Allaah (swt). This specific servitude is his description just as Allaah said:

    أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُ

Isn’t Allaah sufficient for His servant? [Soorah Az-Zumar, 39:36]

So the highest level of a servant is this specific servitude combined with messenger-ship, and the Prophet (SAW) is the most complete of all creation regarding these two honorable and dignified characteristics.

    These words 𐃠𐃄𐃮𐂶𐃇𐃠𐁩𐃟𐁥𐃟𐃆 𐃠𐃅𐃠𐁢𐃡𐁆𐃟𐂢

“His servant and messenger” were used by the Prophet (SAW) as a refutation of extremism and negligence. This is because many of those claiming to be from his nation either go to extremes in statement and action, or neglect following him.

They rely upon others’ opinions which are in contradiction with what he (SAW) came with. They thereby mislead themselves and others by misinterpreting his rulings and what he has informed of, abusively turning away from what he actually intended. They shun the notion and requirement of submitting to his guidance as they arrogantly discard it.

The testimony that “Muhammad is the messenger of Allaah” requires believing in him (SAW) as who he really is, believing and trusting in what he informs of, obeying him in what he commands, and abstaining from what he forbids and warns against. It requires one to honor and uphold his commands and prohibitions, never giving precedence to the statement of anyone over him (SAW), no matter who it may be.****

The circumstance of today, and even in the past, due to those people who attribute knowledge to themselves from some judges and those who pass religious verdicts, is almost completely contradictory to that (that which has just been mentioned in the previous two sentences) and from Allaah we seek help.

    ______________________________________...

*** In “Qurratul-‘Uyoon:” And one should not contradict him with the statement or opinion of anyone else because it is possible for others to be mistaken, yet Allaah has protected him from error with regards to conveying the religion. Allaah (swt) has ordered us to obey and support him, and forbade us from disobeying him by saying:

    وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْراً أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ

It is not for any believing man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decided any matter, that they should have any choice in their affair. [Soorah Al-Ahzaab, 33:36]

    And He said:

So let those beware who oppose his order (or way, Sunnah) lest a tribulation should befall them or a painful punishment.

    [Soorah An-Noor, 24:63]

Imaam Ahmad said, “Do you know what tribulation is? Tribulation is Shirk. Perhaps if someone refuses some of his statements, there may fall into his heart some form of deviation by which he is destroyed.” As for negligence, it occurs by refusing to following him (SAW) or by giving someone else’s possibly error-prone statements and opinions precedence over his (SAW), especially the statements of some scholars as is well-known.

  4. Nice world has given you the correct answer:

It seems that you have started evaluating the basis of the faith and religion (organized Islam).

    If so:

Then take a start from the Quran. Don't bring in Hadith or the opinions of the scholars and not even us. We can only try to help, but we ourselves cannot be sure.

To start with, Take into account the very begining:

There are 7 places in the Quran, which narrate the details of the conversation between God and Satan. It is pertinent to note that at that point, there was NONE present from among the prophets and messengers. Adam had just come to life and was insignificant.

At that very moment, the account of conversation clearly tells that:

1-  God says ONLY the truth.

2-  Satan asked for respite till the day of "Judgment".

    3-  God granted him.

4-  Satan pledged in the name of "Majesty of God" that he will lead ALL of the humans astray, EXCEPT the VERY FEW "WHO" will be dedicated to God ONLY.

    5-  God confirms that.

In other places God confirms that HE will fill the Jahanum with Humans and Jinns, along with Satan.

6-  When Adam fell from paradise, he wept and repented.

7-  God told him a crucial message:  "I will send my message, those who will obey/follow it, will have NOTHING to fear NOR to worry."

    ----------------

Till NOW, there is NO messenger NOR prophet, nor any Shahada.

The main thing that sets apart and is a confirmed filter is "Following the Message" and being DEDICATED / Pure to ONLY GOD.

Based on this criteria, you have two things in front of you:

    1-  Quran

    2-  Hadith (& Sunnat).

    The ONLY possibilities are:

Just to cut the discussion short, I am giving you the results:

1-  Reject both  (Confirmed and explicit disbeliever).

    2-  Except both (Hypocrite).

3-  Except Quran and Reject Hadith (Believer)

It is also pertinent to note that THERE are ONLY three categories of humans and Jinns, as far as God is concerned. Ref. Surah Fateha (1) and the first verses of surah 2 (Baqarah).

What you should be HUNTING or really be concerned with is :

"Is Hadith a message from God"?

"Does Hadith qualify the criteria as informed to Adam by God"???

If yes, then go and embrace Hadith with ALL the zeal and fervor.

    ---------------xxxx----------------

If NOT, and certainly it CANNOT !!!!

then, you need to unlearn ALL that you have been made to learn. And you will have to turn to Quran for your guidance.

    ---x*x--------------

Remember one more thing, before you go in the direction of Hadith:

1-  The two sources Hadith and Quran are 180 degrees opposite to one another. Those who say that Hadith is the explanation of the Quran are at the height of ignorance and hypocrisy. They have either NEVER studied any of the sources OR are lying at the top of their evil nature.

2-  Since both the sources are in serous negation to one another, therefore the ONLY two possibilites left are :

a-  Either both of them are wrong.

    OR

b-  ONly on eof them is right.

  5. Peace..

  6. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allâh and His Messenger P.B.U.H                     (Al Hujraat, 15)

Believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad P.B.U.H)  (Al Hadid, 7)

That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad P.B.U.H)   (Al Saff, 11)

There are several hadiths too, if u care to look them up.

  7. as bro abul harith said..

and u also say it in ur prayer while tashahod..

    always love & peace..

  8. Seems Abu Hurayra created the hadith'ite shahada. The first time Abu Hurayra said it, he was punched and stomped on by Umar because it was so offensive to hear (this story is found within the scripture of the hadith'ites): http://submission.org/muhammed/shahada.h...

  9. Shahaada in the Qur'an:

    1)

003.018 There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.

    Al-Qur'an, 003.018 (Aal-E-Imran [The Family of Imran])

    2)

048.029 Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.

    Al-Qur'an, 048.029 (Al-Fath [Victory, Conquest])

In some of the plenty of Ahaadith:

    1) Sahih Bukhari, Volume 001, Book 002, Hadith Number 007.

    --------------------------------------...

Narated By Ibn 'Umar : Allah's Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

    1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.

    2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.

    3. To pay Zakat. (i.e. obligatory charity)

    4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)

    5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

    2) Sahih Bukhari, Volume 002, Book 023, Hadith Number 450.

    --------------------------------------...

Narated By Al-Bara' bin 'Azib : The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "When a faithful believer is made to sit in his grave, then (the angels) come to him and he testifies that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. And that corresponds to Allah's statement: Allah will keep firm those who believe with the word that stands firm... (14.27).
