well i will have to say the most contraversial cricketer for Australia has to lie with Trevor Chappell for his under arm bowling in the 1981 world cup but Greg Chappell did have a say in that too....

And for England well i cant really pin point any one player but i do remember a time when Zaheer Khan cracked the $hits because he was getting jelly beans thrown at him whilst he was batting last year sometime if i am correct...

From Aus it must be Trevor Chappel. Symmonds too was involved in the racism controversy.

From England, i think it must be Andrew Flintoff. But he was not involved in any controversies related to cricket, but only off the field becasue of his drinking.
