  1. There's no doubt in my mind that it is possible. I think one of the main reasons all of the voters gave us the nod for #1 is because of the difficulty of schedule. Just a few bonus points...

Too many injuries? Come on. The injuries haven't even started. We lost our LT, huge loss obviously. UF has players going down too, it is part of the game. I think that is why you recruit depth. We have plenty of talent on the o-line to make up for that loss. We just have to stay healthy through the season, especially at the safety position, and of course the 2 Heisman Trophy candidates.

Plus, do you have any idea what it is going to be like with a marquee receiver? Really? This is the first time that's ever happened.

It's just going to take a whole truck load of luck, just like it takes almost every other season in college football.

What's that comin' down the track???

  2. georgia is loaded.  but their schedule is way too tough.  i have them going 10-2 and finishing #5 in the country.  then they go back to the sugar bowl ( i think florida will win the sec, please let me be wrong ).  if they do run the table, they'll be considered one of the best of all time.

  3. Georgia will be the best team with 2 losses.  Hard to walk away from the SEC undefeated.  And then the SEC championship game.

  4. To many hard Road games ,they will lose 3 games this year.

  5. Not me. Schedule tough and I think they are a bit overrated. They are a very good solid team. Not likely to beat Florida two in a row.

  6. I thought they could in the beginning, but now they have too many injuries.  I believe that any team, Georgia, Florida, LSU, or Auburn, from the SEC with just one loss and wins the Conference should be in the National Title game.  But what probably will happen is none of those teams will get out of the SEC with just one loss.  The conference is just too d**n tough.  Week in and week out, you have to play like its the National Championship, have one down week and you have Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama, or Ole Miss whipping your ***.

What will probably happen is if the USC/OSU* game is close, then if one of those teams have just one loss and the other is undefeated, we will have a rematch for the title.  But, WVU has the best chance of all the teams to go undefeated with a weak *** schedule.  The winner of OSU*/USC has an excellent chance also of being undefeated, because they really dont play anybody else.

The Big XII seems really competive this year and I dont know if any of the big teams, OU, TT, MIZZOU, or Texas will go undefeated or have less than two losses.

And who knows what will happen in the ACC.  Can Miami and/or FSU come back this early?  Can Clemson not choke?  Will Virginia Tech be as competitive as usual?

More and More, season after season, we need a 4 or 8 team playoff.  Use the BCS Bowls as the Playoffs.  The bowl system can remain.  It will just add two more games or just include the Gator Bowl and Cotton Bowl.  Just rotate the sites for the National Championship Game and rotate the Bowls, except the Rose, for the 1st and 2nd round games.  Actually, The national championship game could be shopped around like the Super Bowl, have it in different stadiums around the country like the new Cowboys Stadium, the new Giants Stadium, Reliant Stadium and also the traditional venues like the Rose Bowl, Dolphin Stadium (Orange Bowl), and U of P stadium (Fiesta Bowl)

    First Round

    Gator Bowl

    ACC champion

    vs.

    Big East champion

    Cotton Bowl

    Big XII

    vs.

At Large Team (wildcard, independent, mid-major)

    Rose

    Pac 10

    vs.

    Big 10

    Sugar

    SEC

    vs.

    At large (wildcard, independent, mid-major)

    Second Round

    Orange Bowl

    Gator champion

    vs.

    Cotton champion

    Fiesta Bowl

    Rose champion

    vs.

    Sugar champion

    BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

    Orange champion

    vs.

    Fiesta champion

  7. I don't see it happening.  There's alot of really good teams in the SEC this year and Georgia has to play them all.. most of them on the road.. add to that they'll probably have to play Auburn twice in 3 weeks and that'll be tough to pull off (especially with one of those being @ Auburn and don't think for a  second they're gonna be friendly after that Solja Boy bit last year).. I think they finish 2nd in the East to Florida (much easier schedule) with 2 losses (Auburn and Florida the two teams they pulled gimmicks on last year)

my pick is Florida and Auburn in the SECCG with winner most likely  headed to the BCS Championship

  8. i would sympathize with you, but i would first need to be electro-shocked for that to happen.

  9. Georgia will win the National Championship because my roommate, Carol Cathey, bet $100 that USC would NOT win.

The person she bet against is a GREAT predictor; but, not THIS time.
