after being gone for nearly three years she is finally going back on tour with the upcoming release of her latest cover album. Do you think she can still compete with todays supposedly "A" list of country females?

  1. Oh, I love her song "You Can Feel Bad." And "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye" is such a heartwrencher!

  2. most definitely and she would win.

No one can compete with her voice. And the classic nature of her songs

  3. Patty can blow them all away talent wise.  As for records sales and tours, I don't know.  She isn't a fantasy figure for the young girls Nashville panders to.

  4. Both Patty and Trisha are my girls. I love Patty and have to say that I am so pleased that she stayed true to her roots, and never change her style, just to be on radio and sell music.

I love her Bluegrass the best, and her voice is fantastic.  We all know that she blows the "A" list of current stars away, as far as talent, but that is not what it is based on these days.  It has to appeal to the younger generation, and since Patty stayed true to her self and her music , then she would never receive play on today's radio stations.

  5. Love love love Patty!  Was just listening to her Classics CD (of her greatest hits) the other day.  You Don't Seem To Miss Me, You Don't Even Know Who I Am, and How Can I Help You Say Goodbye are among my favorite Patty songs.  She seems like a motherly type...just such a warm and friendly voice, and she really is all about the song...she isn't about awards, sales, or image.  She just wants to sing songs people can relate too.

When you say "compete" what do you mean?  Song quality or sales?  If you mean song quality, I think she is above and beyond MOST female artists out there.  Saleswise, sadly, i don't think she can compete with the Taylor Swifts, Carrie Underwoods out there.

I hope to catch Patty on tour.  :)

  6. Heck yeah! I loved her and I'm glad that she's coming back.

  7. love her!  she may not be able to compete with todays stars chart wise or album sales, but she whips em with pure talent and a fantastic voice!!

  8. To be honest, probably no. i love her , you love her , and so do the responders, so far....but your not getting answers from

'.todays' buying public'....my guess is that she'll do o.k. with the likes of you and i, but her star has faded....so be it, iv'e got her c.d.'s and she'll always be on my "A" list
