I was thinking about the commentators while watching Summerslam and I thought about when King and JR would have there commentating table up on the left hand side of the Raw ramp on a high raised platform type thing. I always wondered why they were up there and Smackdown! they were down at ringside. Does anyone know why Raw changed to ringside aswell? I always thought it was better up beside the ramp as it created some good story lines and an extra table handy up there to be used in matches.

  1. Yeah i remembers that it was happen when Bischoff was the GM of RAW from 2002-2005.it was changed cause vince thought that it was same in WCW and commentators cannot watch closely what is happening in the ring.

  2. yep lol

  3. Yes, they wanted to move to due the loud explosion entrances, and they couldn't call the matches from that distance

  4. Yeah and it was cool.

  5. I remember that, I liked that, and I also remember when ECW first started out and there announce table was on another angle, good days

  6. Yes, They were put up there when Eric Bishoff was brought in to run RAW. He put them up there to make it more like WCW Nitro. When Bishoff was let go the RAW announce table was put back. It was done as both an insult to Bishoff, and as the internet sites kept pointing out that it was like Nitro WWE wanted to distance themselves from that.

  7. Remember ECW on the opposite side of he camera angle not where they are now
