where you used to get your burger on a plate , i wonder if they have any left now haven't seen one in years

I think it was the first place I tried a milkshake. I loved it, but it went down hill when McDonalds came to town ............ the swines !!!

I haven't either.  I am from the San Francisco Bay area in CA. and I remember them. Had to be over 30 years ago. They had the best, messiest, juiciest hambugers ever.  Thanks for that trip down memory lane!! Happy Days!!!

In the comics, Wimpy was the friend of Popeye and his girlfriend, Olive Oyl.  Wimpy adored hamburgers and ate them constantly.  My parents told me that the Wimpy Cafes were named after Wimpy, the comics character.  Unfortunately, I have never seen one, so it must have been a long time ago.

Remember them, I still use them.  Yes Wimpy is still around.  You can keep your Maccy D's and Burger King Whoppers, that have been sitting around under a light bulb for god knows how long.  Give me a freshly cooked to order (and you can watch them cooking it) Wimpy Cheeseburger and Chips and a Cup (not plastic !!) of tea.  You even get a knife and fork !!

Even the Takeaway orders are cooked fresh.
