And how do you think this fits in with the new proposed California restrictions and Hitler's abolishment of homeschooling that is still being enforced today? Just a thought.

  1. Oh I don't think they agree. They think it's far safer and more effective if they have a child from 5 (or earlier) all the way to 16. Then they can be almost sure of controlling their minds or at least damaging them so badly that they'll never upset the 'natural order'. Let the parents deal with them learning to walk and talk and use the toilet and then whisk them away to begin conditioning them for their futures as obedient servants of the state. Cynic? I wish.

@Old Lady - Hitler outlawed HS in Germany and it is still illegal to this day. A growing number of German families are moving to England so they can HS, keep their children and not be put in prison.

  2. Jesuit maxim

obviously the early years of a child's life are the formative years in which a person can make or break another's character

  3. The quote is actually "Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man" and it is the motto of the Jesuits.

Outside of boarding school, I don't think education has anything to do with this statement (the Jesuits ran boarding schools when this became their motto).

Whether children are in school or homeschooled, their parents are their primary educators.

  4. This is the tenet of the Jesuits, and it is quite true. The first, most impressionable years, are the years before seven. After that, a person begins to question. If you can inculcate beliefs before that point, you have them for life.

Your next sentence is pretty confusing, though. Hitler's abolishment of homeschooling is still being enforced today? No - it isn't. Hitler didn't abolish homeschooling. And how that relates to proposed Califiornia restrictions is just a little beyond my ken.
