Nancy Reagan may have said it, but she was surely quoting Eleanor Roosevelt!  I've heard that attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt for as long as I can remember (I'm 65).

I have see both labeled as having said the quote but i believe that it is more of a Nancy Reagan quote then a Mrs Roosevelt quote.
