I was watching the olympics and i heard a quote while watching the USA women playing vollyball i cant really remember who. But i know that there were only two people on each team and we won the first two set and therefore did not have to play the third.

The news caster asked one of the american players who was better her or her partner and she said something like this "Individually we are great. Together we are golden."

I really want to know who said it so if you can help THANKS

And this team was really good and they said it might be thier last cuz they both wanted to start families meaning they were a little older.

  1. The quote came from one of the defending gold medal winning American beach volleyball duo of Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor.

I, too, watched their decisive 36 minute victory over Mika Saiki and Chiakiru Kusuhara of Japan; and their 2 set win over the Cuban team Tamara Larrera and Delixia Fernandez.

Kerri and Misty May are the very best in the world in their sport; and they are very close friends.  Either would be likely to have said, "Individually we are great. Together we are golden."
