  1. Your teacher obviously didn't appreciate the irony in the fact that the statement itself is an absolute.


  2. I think it's along the lines of there are only two things in life that are certain; death and taxes, that would be Benjamin Franklin (amoungst others)

    As a subject that would be epistemology.

    On the plus side, if he/she ever says you're wrong shout it back at him/her!
