Disabled groups are protesting the use of the word "retarded" and the whole Simple Jack thing. I didn't mind that so much personally even though I can understand their point. I understand it was tasteless humor meant for adults, but I was really offended and uncomfortable by the agents apparent shame for his disabled son. It was not humourous, nor did it add anything to the plot, so I am curious as to why it was even there. It could have been cut out and not affected the movie or it's intentions of skewering actors and the roles they choose. I was just wondering what everyone else thought of that.

  1. Question is, what other kind of movie could he have done that the drug lords would have wanted to watch?

It's all a spoof with a little zing underneath, just as they had him wearing false teeth, "buck teeth" - which was the traditional thing that "yellow face" actors during the 30s wore when they were trying to appear Chinese or Japanese.

(Having said that, I love Peter Lorre's Mr. Moto and Warner Oland's Charlie Chan.)
