Who sells gas produced from US oil?

i have seen lists of who buys and how much Arab oil but, never known who sells gas produced from our own oil...

I think environmentalists lobby our government so that we cannot drill in US anymore for oil. Because they are scared of the adverse replications on the land.

But I know in a lot of rural areas, people have oil rigs on their land. They get really cheap gas while the gas company gets to use the oil from their land. So it's kind of an internal sale.
