Who should I ask to be my bridesmaids? ?

I have one best friend from college who will be my maid of honor. And I plan on asking my future sister-in-laws (both of them). Other than that I don't have many girlfriends, I don't want things to be uneven my fiance has 4 guys he wants to ask, plus my brother. Should I ask girls whom Im not close with anymore or ask him to cut back on his number?

If you are the one who wants the numbers to match then you are the one who is obligated to change the numbers. Why not have your brother on your side rather than your fiance's side? My fiance did this for his sister so that her side wasn't as much smaller as it would have been. Then you only have one more place, so ask a guy you're really close to. Voila, a match.

if the guys have girls, they could ask them.  you could ask other girls it all depends on whether you want to be even or not.

Wow. That's kind of hard. He has 5 guys and you have 3... Could you both settle on 4? He could cut one and you can add someone? I don't want things to be uneven either. Hope things work out! Congrats on the wedding!

If he has 5, two could be ushers.. but definitely don't ask girls you're not close to.  It's not worth the drama.

I say ask him to cut back.  For this reason, I am having just my bio sister, and he his bio brother.  He has two other sisters, and many many male friends and I have 1 other brother and some close female friends but at the risk of offending anyone and being uneven, we decided to go 1 and 1

Perhaps steal your brother back from his side so it is 4 and 4.  Your brother can still wear a tux and stuff, and it is becoming more common to have different genders on the different sides of the bridal party.  I wouldn't ask someone you aren't close to.  Planning this stuff is stressful enough without feeling awkward around someone you aren't particularly close to.
