  1. Farve, Kitna has never really been that good. He has thrown for a lot of yards but he was throwing the ball 40 times a game. Now that Mike Martz is gone the new O. Coordinator is going to make the team more run orientated. So that means Kitna will throw for less yards and most likely just as many ints. Farve isnt going to be amazing but he will be better than Kitna.

  2. Favre....he'll have a much better offensive line and running back in NY.

  3. I say Favre.  He's an overall better QB than Kitna, and has a better Offensive line in Ney York than Kitna does in Detroit.

  4. Wow! This is kinda like having to choose between McCain and Obama, isn't it?

Kitna has better receivers but no proven running back. Favre has a back who gains yards but disappears around the goal line and 2 good but not great receivers. Because Detroit plays in at least 10 games in a dome I'd go with Kitna.

  5. Brett Favre!  The Jets have a much better O-Line than the Lions! Which means he has more time to look for open recievers and throw TD's!

  6. kitna, favre should have stayed retired.

  7. I say Kitna because he has a good offense but Farve isnt a bad choose either beacause of him getting moved.

  8. FARVE

  9. Farve because of his newly enforced offensive line plus he has somewhat better recievers than Kitna (Cole and Cotchery vs. Roy Williams and C. johnson, who still has much to prove), He won't have to rely on his RB as much as Kitna does= more pass yards for no. 4.TE, does any one know the name of the Detroit Tight End? I don't.Baker will help Favre a lot with extra pass time by blocking and is a pretty able reciever. RB Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are capable of catching passes as well as running for the score. Kevin jones and Brian Calhoun, not so much.

  10. Either choose should put up similar numbers.

Kevin is right, the Lions have no proven running game whatsoever.  That means one of two things, either they develop one and Kitna throws less, or more likely he's forced to continue his "mad bomber" game, feeding a ton of passes to Williams and Johnson.

Favre's Jets have a new O-line, but it's not yet proven anything.  Thomas Jones is a proven, productive back.  Cotchery is emerging, Leon Washington is a nice change-of-pace target, and Coles is productive when healthy.

I would narrowly choose Kitna, because I think he'll have to throw more.  Both players will likely thorw a lot of INTs.  I would consider both a backup, not great starters.
