  1. Take Arron Baddeley (40-1), 1/6 unit: Badds shot a 66in the first round of last year’s Memorial. He went on to finish T9, under par all four rounds. It’s a prettysimple formula for Baddeley: if he hits greens, the weakest part of his game, he can win any tournament because he putts lights out.

Take Kenny Perry (25-1), 1/6 unit: If you believe in the hot hand and you’ve been watching golf recently you have to pick Perry. He’s made his last 13 cuts and this month he’s had a T15 and that painful loss in the Atlanta playoff to Ryuji Imada, when his approach hit the tree and bounced backward into the water. That was a devastating loss for a guy desperately trying to make the Ryder Cup, which will be played in his homestate of Kentucky this year. But Perry has some fightin him and he’s at the point in his career when nothing is taken for granted. In fact, his near misses will make him grind more and I like a determined Kenny Perry in a big tournament where he has a strong record---he won in ’03 and finished T3 last year. With that weird, chopping swing Perry is one of the best shot-makers in the biz.

Take Boo Weekley (33-1), 1/6 unit: Hilton Head isn’t the only tournament he’s going to win in his career before he retires early, if he sticks to that plan. Country can play, as all the world knows. The Verizon Heritage win was his fourth top-10 of the year. In his first trip to Muirfield Village he finished T29 last year.

  2. I am from Ohio and go to the Memorial every year.  You want players who can drive accurately, not long.  Putting is also very important here.  I don't know who's on your team, but all the top players (Michelson, Woods, Els, Vijai) have withdrawn, so make sure you don't choose them.
