Who should I put money on to win at UFC 88, Dan Henderson or Rousimar Palhares?

I think i should go with Dan Henderson but i have no clue about how good this other guy is so i might be wrong, Whats your take?

Rousimar Palhares has some nice submission skills, but i think Henderson (although past his best fighting days) will still be a tough match-up for him. Take Henderson.

i don't think Palhares is as much of an underdog as the odds will make him out to be, so a smaller bet could win you bigger money.  but like someone else said, hendo is the safe bet.

Palhares has great BJJ skills, but Henderson has great ground defense, too. I would take Henderson, he rarely gets submitted, unless it's by a great. He lost by armbar twice to the Nogueira brothers. And once by rear naked to Anderson Silva. Henderson is a warrior.

I would say Rousimar Palhares because he is the least favourite to win, and he is being overlooked BIG TIME. I think he is actually going to win and I am a Hendo fan. Hendo is the 'safe' bet, but it isn't even that safe against Rousimar, and even if you win, you won't win much. If you pick Palhares and he wins(which he has an awesome chance of doing) you will get alot more money.

Go Palhares. Gambling is about taking risks anyways. Live on the edge a little.

First and foremost, this fight will be decided by whether Palhares can get a submit Henderson. A 3 round decision would favour Dan as he will most likely be spending the majority of this fight on the feet or on top. But Palhares is a very slick and dangerous BJJ black belt.

On the feet Dan will have a large striking advantage over Palhares with his Big Right Hand™ being his main weapon. Palhares will be looking to take it to the ground as fast as possible. Whilst Palhares has a good single leg, Henderson should be able to anticipate it and stuff them. In the clinch, Henderson has good dirty boxing skills and will be able to control Palhares.

The ground game though will be the key factor here as Palhares has the ability to sub Henderson off his back and definately will if he can get on top for an extended period of time. It will be interesting to see if he can control Dan on top though. If Dan gets on top though, his lack of better judgement may see him get submitted. Whilst Dan has only been submitted by some of the greats, he hasn't really faced any other top BJJ black belts unless you count Allen Goes 10 years ago.

If Henderson fights smart and doesn't sit in Palhares guard too long, he should win. But fighting smart hasn't always been Hendersons MO. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he KOd Palhares in a 1 minute or got triangled in a minute.

If the money line is close to even, I would bet on Henderson but any higher is too risky considering Hendersons fight history.
