Who should I take #1 overall in my fantasy football league?

It is a 10 team league, and it favors running backs.

Well obviously its between LT and AP. LT has been a top three fantasy player in the past five years, so he should be a very safe pick. AP is a good pick, but he hasnt proven himself as much. Not saying that hes going to have a worse year than LT, just saying if you want a safe pick, LT is safer. But i think AP could have more of an upside. The only problem with AP is he doesnt show up every week. but he explodes for huge games more than LT. But LT normally shows up every game, but not normally as strongly as AP sometimes does. personally, i'd go with LT. My strategy in drafts is to stay safe in the first couple of rounds. Also, being that you have the first pick, you wont pick again until later. So their might not be a good second RB left for you. So insted of picking the highest ranked RB left on the board guessing that everybody else drafted mostly RB's, id try and get a higher up WR or QB, then once the top WR's are gone, and people go onto picking TE's and other things, i'd go back and take the top RB left. The thing i look at in TE's, is the top TE doesnt make that many more points then say the seventh best TE. Same w/ kickers. Also, you can go to ESPN.com and try out the mock draft and see who is still availible for your 2nd pick being that your drafting from the 1 spot which is a very hard spot to draft.

Pardon the repeat, but this is a repeat question.

In a keeper, you should go for Adrian Peterson.

In a redraft league, go for Tomlinson.

Tomlinson is more reliable and he has a better team around him. Peterson is younger and makes a more appealing long term investment.

I think Wood gave you a decent answer. I would take LT or AP in the first pick if they are available. If not, take a top ten RB. Westbrook, Johnson, Jackson, Brady, Manning, TO, etc. I like to look at last years point stats and try to make an educated guess based on performance from previous years and upgrades to each team's offensive line.
