Question:

Who should I trade for?

I'm having power problems and mostly struggling in fielders. I need some power. I was wondering who I should trade for Chipper Jones. He doesn't give my team much power. I was also going to trade Milton Bradley for someone. You're probably thinking milton Bradely is a power hitter but I need a even better one. Anyway, just to ask and see if there are any trades you could think of. Here is my roster:

C: Russell Martin

1B: Aubrey Huff, Erik Hinske, Mark DeRosa

2B: Dan Uggla, Mark DeRosa

3B: Chipper Jones, Joe Crede, Russell Martin, Mark DeRosa

OF: Milton Bradely, Kosuke Fukudome, David Murphy, Johnny Damon, Erik Hinske, Mark DeRosa,

SP: Taylor Buchholz, A.J. Burnett, J.P. Howell, John Danks, Armando Galarraga, Tim Wakefield

RP: Taylor Buchholz, Billy Wagner, J.P. Howell, Matt Thornton, Brandon Morrow

If you have any possible trades for me, please suggest them. My team is struggling. I have so many good players, I don't know why they are bad but please help. 1st fantasy year.

  1. I am not sure I agree that you have a lot of great players.

I'd be actually confused to see who you drafted in the 1st round, I don't see any typical first rounders there.

Hinske, DeRosa don't have much fantasy value.

On a pitching side, the time to get rid of Morrow was before Putz got off the DL.

How are you doing in saves, if you are losing that category anyway, I would package Wagner with someone.

Not sure why you have Russell Martin listed under 3b though.

When Damon gets heathly, you probably don't need him.

He and Wagner probably represent the only serviceable trades for you.

You may get a guy like Carlos Quentin for both of those, that won't really solve your power problem though.

Fukudome is another trade alternative, but for a .300 hitter without a lot of power, what is someone trading for when they want him, average?

If you wanted to commit to Crede as your 3b, you can get the most for chipper.

Perhaps something like Jones for Justin Morneau.

  2. trade chipper, bradley, and lower capable player for a-rod

  3. I can understand how you feel being in your first year in Fantasy Baseball.  It can be tough.  If you can trade three people for one person and still have enough people on your roster than i would trade Milton Bradley, Chipper Jones, and Howell for Josh Hamilton.  If you can't i would suggest trading Johnny Damon and Milton Bradley for J.D. Drew.

I hope my answer helps you, have fun in Fantasy Baseball,

  4. i see alot of power in your team... Id keep jones , uggle, damon.  You could trade fukudome for someone good like hamilton  or someone like that.  Only because he is a rookie and a all star, and people love the japaniese,

  5. Forget the power, you need to improve your pitching.  Howell is doing nothing for Tampa and Thornton is a 7th inning guy and the only thing he can really do for your roster is spike your ERA.  Taylor Buchholz has 9 points in 11 weeks!  dump him.  I suppose you could trade Fukudome for a power outfielder but its a risky move.
