I'm a registered republican but am really sitting on the fence on this election. I don't know who to vote for. There are good and bad about both candidates.

The reason that I vote and am registered a republican is money. I don't like taxes.

Before you type it...this is in the correct category. Retired or nearly retired are the people who I want to hear from right now.

  1. No matter who wins we the people are going to lose. This is the worst set of "choices" that recall in my entire life.

  2. You and me --- I'm really gonna have to check this one out . Study the candidates and vote your best conscience/reasoning.

  3. This is something only YOU can decide for yourself.  As for me, I'm a registered Democrat but I'm voting for McCain.  The Dems are just too far left for me and I can not vote for them.  If you approve of g*y s, abortions, stem cell ,HIgher Taxes, , marriage tax, death tax, and tax on everything else then switch.  If not then stay where you are.  How can anyone know how to run a country with just 2 years in the senate?  Never been to war?  Flip flopped many times already-----if elected how many flip flops will he do?

Do you want a first lady ,for nations to judge us by, that only thought she could be proud of our country because her husband is running.  I would suggest that you listen to the debates and carefully weigh everything out. It's already been proven that the Dems are making promises that can not ever be given due to lack of economy. Think very carefully.Good luck and follow your heart.  God Bless.

  4. I'm voting for the person who best represents the way I think.  I'm voting for the person I want to represent the United States to the rest of the world.  Our representation to the world should be comparable to the real situation in the United States.  I'm tired of being lied to.  Bush has made the United States look like a bunch of fools because of his attitude.  I'm voting for Obama because I feel it's time for a change, not because he's a Democrat, but because I believe in him and what he stands for.  I won't be pigeon-holed  into a category, I go with my heart and my mind.

  5. If it comes down to taxes, they will always go up.  Our newspaper had an article the other day saying taxes actually go up more when Republicans are in office plus the rich get tax breaks and the poor and middle class take up the slack.  And no, our paper isn't liberal, just the opposite.  If money is your main concern then vote Democrat.

  6. i am a registered democrat who plans to vote for Mc Cain. because i don't trust Obama. and he promises change but like all politicians doesn't say what he will change, how he will change it. or how he will pay for the change. more taxes on those who are still willing to work is my guess. or more taxes on my social security.. i don't trust the man.

  7. Use your best judgment and vote for who YOU feel is best. Not what someone else may say. I gave 6 yrs of my life defending your right to do that.

  8. I guess I am waiting to see who their running mates will be.

  9. For Obama - believe he has the potential to change things and hope and pray if he does win he doesn't turn out to be another Nelson Mandela, first black Pres. of S. Africa, a person who didn't have the ability to be president of anything.
